Tripping Breaker and Wiring Repair

The Issue

A residential client in Palm Harbor faced a frustrating electrical repair issue – their refrigerator and dining room receptacles kept tripping the breaker. Adding to their frustration and concern, the client had previously sought help from two other electricians, but the issue remained unsolved. It seemed like an elusive problem that nobody could pinpoint.

Our Expert Solution

With years of experience and expertise, our skilled team swiftly tackled the problem. During our inspection we discovered that the source of the tripping breaker was hidden from plain sight – a melted wire was underneath an air duct in the attic. The wire was severely corroded due to leaking condensation from the air duct, exacerbating the issue. We removed the damaged portion of the wire and expertly spliced the good ends to a new wire, ensuring a secure connection. We safely contained the splices in a sturdy junction box with a cover plate, eliminating any potential hazards.

We successfully restored power to the refrigerator and dining room. Our client’s frustration turned to relief and satisfaction with the power back and the issue resolved. Our diligent approach not only resolved the tripping breaker issue but also eliminated the fire hazard, providing peace of mind to our valued client.
